Our mission is to provide, at no charge, trained German Shepherd guide dogs to the blind and visually impaired for the enhancement of their safety and independence.

Our Organization

Eye Dog Foundation was organized as a non-profit corporation in 1952. Ever since that time, it has been dedicated to giving guide dogs to the blind and the visually impaired at absolutely no cost to them.

The training facility is located in Chino Valley, AZ. The facilities include multiple kennel wings, an indoor training area, large grassy play areas, and trainer's residence.

Meet Our Dogs

Luffy

Luffy is happy, gentle, and loving! He’s an easy going boy, who loves going out and training. Luffy has been working hard to knock out his training hours and gain lots of great experience; He starts his career as a Guide Dog in the summer of 2025!
Hayden

Hayden is a confident, happy boy who loves his job! He completed his training and placement in 2023. He enjoys a good bone and a comfortable spot to rest after “work”. Shady afternoons in the backyard, after a morning out with “Dad”, are some of his favorites!
Arlo

Arlo is a loving and energetic boy who came to Eye Dog from Texas at 6 months old. He likes playing fetch and running on the treadmill. After some time in training, it was decided Arlo wasn’t quite the right fit for guide work, but he still had lots of great working potential. With the help of a fellow nonprofit Service Dog program, Arlo had a career change in 2025 and is now working with a Veteran in Arizona!
